Splatoon 2

Really hard to pick one so for different reasons:

Bloodborne - because god damn that art direction and atmosphere (and combat)

Sekiro - Again FROM Soft wins

Splatoon because Hisashi Nogami went ape s*** with this gameplay.

and lastly Cuphead because it's the game you think about someone making and these two bros did exactly that. Plus they nailed it so well. That game even feels good to play. That takes pure skill to hand draw the kind of animations you need to have for in game movements.

They have there perks you can step away whenever you want. The turn based rpg stuff is only half the game the high school teen simulator is the other half I make sure to get my dungeons done in one day so I can spend the rest of my time with my in game friends since I don't have any irl.
