    Book was terrible. Emily St John helped write the show though? Didn't make sense to me. They were supposed to adapt more of her stuff together for HBO but I imagine COVID got in the way.

    Somerville's other show Maniac is good too. Directed by Cary Fukunaga who did True Detective S01. Emma Stone and Jonah Hill doing a Spike Jonze / Charlie Kaufman riff.

    Safe retreads yes, f***ing yes. It's why The Penguin really didn't do much for me in the freshness front because we've seen almost everything in it to the point of dejavu

    dang I guess I should finally check out Deadwood cause the gf and I always looking for a good western but have seen pretty well every decent one
