Racism against Asians has been normalized and they don’t receive the same support as other groups because they are looked at as being in the same tier as whites and because Asian culture is generally passive and conflict avoiding

Ever since covid hit hate crimes against Asians have sky rocketed higher than ever before but there isn’t much media coverage or movements bringing light to these issues

Asians are the only race in America where other races commit violent crimes against them more than people of the same race

it's because of a lot of the inflammatory rhetoric with asians and COVID and it's been said of other immigrant groups as well, it's a common stereotype on POC, for example, currently TX GOP politicians are saying undocumented people are bringing in COVID to deflect from their anti-mask policies when they have the same rates as americans and they don't even really touch the general population at all and probably wear more masks, if so

pretty much when you turn up the racist rhetoric against certain groups and blaming them for issues, violence happens and it needs to f***ing stop
