i think drake dramatically overperformed considering what a mess he was coming off the FATD era, but his bad and reckless decision making (telling kendrick to call him a pedophile, taunting him with the voice of 2pac, dragging family into it for no reason, etc.) was ultimately what did him in. 2016 drake probably plays it smarter and keeps it more about who's more important to the culture.
