Good work boots if you're in trades or construction are expensive as balls but can last for a long time. That's a seriously good gift depending on the person

I had like 250$ timberland pros that were nice but didn't really last 1 year. They look like s*** but are wearable

Yeah I get that. I'm in trades and construction and buy my own nice work boots so I know for f***ing sure they're the ones I want.

Also that way my gf can get me something a little more fun. I got Meta Quest VR and some criterions which effectively made me feel like a kid on Christmas unlike some work boots would.

If they have kids and or mortgage and are being thrifty then it's def understandable.

Well it just kind of depends on preference. I wouldn't want my wife buying me most types of shoes but she has surprised me with Yeezys 5 years ago I still wear and love lol

I mainly just have her get me what I tell her to get at this point though lol
