why wouldnt you want an artist to take their time to deliver their best s***?
He does nothing but drop an album that has to be perfectly curated. He knows critics will eat that up and his fans.
He doesn’t do anything for the culture really. No random EPs, mixtapes or anything. Also things artist do to compete for the top spot in the game.

Cause he was on demon time, I wanna be the man energy when control dropped. Think his purpose to himself has just evolved. And thats cool. But if you not dropping every year and shifting culture constantly, you cant be compared to hov and wayne. Thats it.

I disagree with the he can’t be up there if he doesn’t drop often take. Kendrick doesn’t have to drop every year. His bodies of work are masterpieces and that’s what really matter. Why drop every year and potentially ruin a nearly perfect discography when he can take his time and give us more masterpieces? He’s a quality over quantity type guy and more rappers need to be like that.

Fair but I think the issue is when we view those albums through that lens of being classics of the genre are we saying that based on the totality of it, specific songs that were culturally shifting, highest highs, being unique or experimental, etc. I’m just seeing people throw the word “flawless” or “10/10” and I’m sorry but that’s completely subjective and using that as your argument is weak to me personally

Didnt say just drop all the time. I said it a few pages ago, to be compared to cultural icons like Hov and Wayne, you have to impact the culture consitently, start trends, impact the pop culture world as well as the streets, pave the way for future artists, and dominate statistically as well.

Drake - Runs every single year even when not putting out a project just by doing a feature run
