just started Katamari Damacy

once of those games where you understand the hype f***ing immediately, literal perfect soundtrack so far

I luckily have a save on my computer from just like 4-5 hours earlier but was struggling with getting the save to show up on my device

I know I can eventually get it working but I was too frustrated to figure out what I was doing wrong

Had fun with it Story & characters were better & charming than I thought they were going to be. The combat was super simple, but can be nauseating. It was fun once you get used to.

The sequel had the more "mature" story

The combat controls feel like when ur playing happy wheels and ur guy falls off the bike

Picked up beatmania(US) from a store and borrowing a friends controller since my arcade recently acquired a iidx machine and i wanna get decent before its actually playable in a month.

So I started Pokemon unbound and holy F*** this game is insane. Wtf is the pokemon company doing not making games like this? Blowing my f***ing mind how good pokemon should be. And it's just some free game lol. Takes 5 minutes to get running on an Android phone

Been playing Prototype for the first time, and damn I miss when games were just complete projects of mindless fun like this

I started the first Psychonaughts on PC. never had the opportunity to play these old Xbox games.

One of the wackiest character designs I've ever seen. Graphics are obviously dated but still have charm.

Also the game itself is a trip.

Has one of the best main menus in any game.

The gameplay mechanics and general physics are really good still. I've just started getting new psychic powers so the game is opening up more.

Excited to play both games to see the huge leap in tech.

Finished Final Fantasy XVI a few weeks ago. The game’s narrative, cast, and worldbuilding are among the strongest in the series and its setpieces are pure thrill and adrenaline but it’s unfortunately undercut by severe pacing issues. It’s clear Unit III have applied what they’ve learned over the years in XIV by injecting as much kino as possible in to these major narrative sequences but the cool down periods in-between feel as sluggish as Red Dead 2 or the low points of a Yakuza game.

Clive is easily the most well-realised protagonist in the series; his character is the most compelling parts of Cecil, Cloud, Zidane, and Noctis rolled in to one. Starting out as hellbent on revenge and borderline suicidal over his failure to uphold his duty then awakening to a greater purpose after witnessing the reality of the systems enforcing the status quo and finally sacrificing himself to bring it all down is the most complete character arc penned in a Fantasy game yet. “Though every soul in the realm may judge my actions heresy, I am certain my cause is just.” 🔥

XVI obviously draws most heavily from XII and XIV but there’s also a lot of IX here as well. Aside from the high fantasy setting and the depiction of summons as weapons of war, this theme of self-determination expressed throughout the game reminded me a lot of Zidane, Dagger, Vivi, and Kuja struggling to break free from lives bound by nature and duty.

Overall it’s nice to finally play a mainline Final Fantasy game again that hasn’t been compromised in its vision. VII Rebirth and Dawntrail soon come. 🙌🏽

Psychonaughts is one of the most creative and funny games I have ever played.

PS5 been collecting dust. Thinking of picking up Sifu..

Just finished BLACK, wish they made a sequel, fun game but enemies are bullet sponges and it gets a bit repetitive, I can see why this game was so graphically impressive when it came out, looks like an early 7th gen game and it has great particle fx and environmental destruction even for today

Been meaning to play through the trilogy as well, I think I’ll get to it sometime soon

Currently playing through Condemned 2 right after I just beat the first one

Great atmosphere and got spooked a lot and I think I’ll like the sequel too

The melee combat is awesome, feels so visceral
