No musician has ever made it (since the late 90s or so), without industry connects or lots of money.

Today’s music climate is all about business people, who happen to make music or models who also happen to make music… Or just pure nepotism. That’s why music is so bad (to me) nowadays. My spotify is all artists from the 90s or before. The only recent album I’ve liked is Jay E’s AWT

Kanye sold his soul to get to the level of success that he's at. Sacrificed a loved one. Slowly went insane because of it. Which is why he's trying so hard to be in the good graces of God. considering it costs A LOT of money to make it in the music business, i very much doubt he made it by randomly posting one demo. No song is good enough to do that, and btstu isn't even a good song (to me).

He's probably the biggest plant of all time. Nothing about him is true, but he does exist. How much he actually does, who knows...

Bro yes that is possible in the sense of getting a fan base. And then blowing up over time. Brent faiyaz literally dropped songs and basically was founded by the dude that manages him. And slowly got his s*** going. He had been trying since 2013 I think. Asap yams blew rocky up off his tumble that had all these blogs following it. I think you mean no one just magically gets famous over night and I feel you on that. Very true.
