Yeah but it doesn’t make you better at anything but playing the game.

But that's not true either it can actually make you work on your logical skills, problem solving skills, reflexes, etc. Depending on the game you're playing

    Demon baby

The stigma and propaganda against vaping was created by big tobacco lobbyists mad people are switching over to a much safer method of getting nicotine and the bad sides of it are greatly exaggerated

Saying vaping is "much safer" is nuts

how is that book relevant to what we are talking about lol

parents are afraid for their children because they do not trust their neighbors because they do not interact with them. Would you trust someone you randomly see like 2 or 3 times a week?

also how is a child supposed to go out by themselves and get real world experience while living in a suburb. Are they supposed to just bike like a mile and a half to a gas station corner store? Maybe their mom could drive them to the mall?

It's relevant because lots of parents won't let their kids BE social when they have the opportunities to. I'm saying that plenty of parents can still have their children engage in things like youth sports, malls, hobbies, classes. There are plenty of alternatives.

And even if that is the case what's wrong with that? I think it's cool to get good at one particular skill even if it's not useful

Saying vaping is "much safer" is nuts

I mean the sentiment is more "stop smoking, start vaping" than "start vaping without already being addicted to tobacco"

all of those activities are largely driven by a parents availability to shuttle their kids back and forth from those activities and/or their income levels

    at least in the suburbs

But some games can bring out psychotic behavior too. Screaming "FUCKING COCK SUCKER B****" at a TV screen when you're 10 years old is not healthy.

It can’t be any worse than breathing in a big city, exhaust fumes etc. I read it’s probably similar to standing next to an operating washer/dryer.

Our society is getting dumber. Access to all the information in the world in your pocket, and people would rather waste their time consooming mindless products.

i.e. TikTok and instagram. ppl barely even read or watch, they scroll 99.9% of the time

Okay yeah and that's true right there. My main argument is also that parents do really shield their children nowadays anyways. The worst part is the kids still get exposed to terrible stuff by being online regardless. It's not an effective way of parenting being a helicopter parent and it sets them up for failure.
