For some reason people who're used to modern views and its' representation in current media expect people who were born in a completely different era and raised to different standards to automatically follow these views just by default
I'm not saying that it's OK to have these views and to say out of pocket s*** like this but look at this from perspective of 40 years old gangsta rapper dude. When you have some pretty strong stereotypes and standards going on in your head for like 20+ years, you can't just change them in a short time. It takes a certain amount of self-education on the matter and s***.

mentalcase420he probably realized he f***ed up pretty quickly (West) which is why he deleted the tweet already...it's not just rap lol movie industry, wrestling business...the culture back then was just more homophobic than it is now...you can't change history you can only work on doing better going forward...there's artists like Jedi Mind Tricks and ICP who used to be VERY homophobic in their music but over the years have grown up and educated themselves so you don't hear that s*** anymore from them...so yeah ppl could go back and try to "cancel them" too for s*** like that
