Do you think they're not going through struggles right now? Or do you just not care. Like I said in my post it's about minimizing the discrimination and educating people. It's a hard fact that education and awareness about a topic can change minds. It's only a couple generations back that people thought women shouldn't vote now the majority of the population has dropped those types of views. Does sexism still exist? Yes but the power sexists have has been minimized and education has decreased their number. To dismiss any push for change as hopeless is just another facet of upholding the oppressive status quo.

But I mapped it out very clearly for you, if you refuse to see it then idk what else to say.
If you get rid of gender roles it will lead to someone saying “let’s get rid of race then to end racism, etc”....right or wrong?
It would also lead to people saying “let’s get rid of age” (as far as numeric goes)....if you get rid of age it makes it harder to control things that comes with it as far as who can legally drink and who cannot, who can have s***and who cannot, what qualifies as a minor and what qualifies as an adult.
If you lose that clear control it’s pretty obvious what that leads to.
You used a 6 year old as an example, but realize having s***with a 13-15 year old that looks like an adult is still pedophilia.
Slippery slope isn't a good argument though. Everything is evaluated on a case by case basis. Gender identity is a social construct that has to do with how you perceive and present yourself proven by scientific studies to be separate from biological s***which has to do with your genetic makeup, and allowing people to transition improves their mental health and makes them happier while not harming anybody else. Transgender people have a proven and measurable atypical reaction to androgens in their brain, where in male to female it would be a lack of that response and in female to male it would be a greater response, and so there's an objective biological argument that the person's consciousness is different then their biological form.
Aging is an objective biological process and while people can certainly be mentally young or mentally old and act mature for their age or immature, that doesn't give someone the right to legally change their age so they can manipulate the laws of consent or their rights especially when other people are involved and would be greatly harmed. A person who feels young can't change the objective fact of when they were born. Transgender people aren't denying their biological s***and saying they weren't born with the organs they were. They're just adopting a gender identity that's different than that sex.

Yes, I think I can see that some people would use the position of removing the social construct of gender as a ploy to somehow normalize pedophilia.
The difference here is that there is no logical, scientific-backed downside that I can think if we were to somehow eliminate gender roles as a whole. Lets say we progress to that state in society. So now, following your logic, lets say that we have a group that suddenly sprouts up that says we should now remove age as a social construct and to try and normalize pedophilia.
The easy shut down to that? We have scientific evidence to show that the brain is still maturing and is not properly equipped to enter in a sexual/emotional relationship with someone who is fully mentally developed, and that argument of getting rid of "age" is completely demolished in my opinion because you keep that construct to protect children (among other situations you can argue that having age protects).
This is why I'm kind of dismissive of this whole tangent because it has no relevancy to actually getting rid of gender roles. Who does it hurt? Nobody. Gender roles existing isn't really protecting anyone, and actually perpetuates demonstrable harm. I hope this clears up my point?

If two people look like adults and have sex, literally the only way of knowing if someone is underage is due to their numeric age. If you remove that that literally opens the door to pedophilia. And realize I’m speaking on all levels, controlling having s***with little ass kids would obviously be easier but teenagers would be at extreme risk.

I just see it as society evolving tbh. As long as nobodys rights are taken away (which would be the case for kids if pedophilia was normalized for exemple) then it’s no big deal
But if society evolves to then take away numeric ages, how are teenagers who looks like adults protected?
