I never said a song has to be #1 for months on end to be SOTS. It’s just that if a song is hitting #1 this deep into summer, it has to have some staying power to earn that title, especially when there are numerous other songs that have been Top 5 all summer (Wait For U, First Class, As It Was)

If BMS remains in the Top 5 for the next month, then it can definitely be in that conversation.

If it falls out of the Top 20 next week or the week after that, those other three songs are more deserving of that title since they’ve been in the Top 5/10 since like May
