it’s a mix of bag of songs rivers did in that time for side abandonned projects and for early version of third album of weezer before it became green album

yes this album is 100% made by two fans only based off demos of the songs that leaked then or live poor quality bootlegs performances of them when rivers tested them out during the hiatus

two very talented superfans collaborated to make a coherent album made out of songs written during the hiatus, between pinkerton and the green album with its lost projects including homie (which takes its title from) - and some early green alum contender material put together to make one beautiful piece, beautiful performance and selection of lost rivers songs of some which up until this year when rivers started selling his demos on his own market, we only had some lice bootlegs of in low quality, so it amazing work for them to have dig those up and record them to give us fans a proper recording take on some of these rivers songs that i for myself consider some of his all time best lost gems OAT

thankfully one of my favorite from it “sheila can do it” that i thought would forever be abandoned is confirmed now to be on VAN WEEZER - life is really a miracle sometimes, dreams come true and rivers is a real one for this
