i think my favorite weezer trope is when on the last hook of a song rivers will sing the same lyrics but in an octave higher than the previous 2 hooks.

tbh they could’ve went grammy a while back it’s just geffen never sent anything
it’s no wonder that as soon as weezer left geffen they got two grammy nominated and same with beck as soon as he left geffen he won a grammy, geffen really undersold their roast and legacy.. at least now they’re free but i can’t imagine how the story would’ve been different if geffen at least had tried
