nah tbh most ppl been saying the same, album getting praised no bad reviews from any superfans or even ppl whos this their first weezer album

his original first reaction of it was far more enthusiastic like he was tearing up and says he likes it over white (which he gave a 9) but in his reviews he’s somehow way more restrained and distant, makes a dumb political comment over the sam harris friendship (theyre friends bc of the same meditation they practice it’s all) and some misinformed s*** (like saying the album started in 2019 so pre covid - yes but they finished and touched it til the last day so it is a factual covid album) and ends up rating it lower than white? just weird.. it doesn’t help this condescending s*** that will always follow weezer, even pitchfork gave it a lesser note than ewbaite but it is what it is, 8 is pretty high especially considering the other recent notes he’s giving (like all 6 stuff), it’s all cool and he’s really positive about it - think he been a longtime fan yeah

yeah I always skip the Futurescope trilogy, haven't listened to EWBAITE with those tracks at the end for a couple years at least

i like them individually apart from anonymous but havnt listened to the album from start to finish like that in years so i can see that
