i remember thinking their Melophobia album was super cool. Also loved the Aberdeen track.

they got nominated for best rock song for beverly hills that was their first time for the grammy
after that they won best music video for pork and beans and rightfully so as it’s iconic - first video ever to embrace youtube pop culture
and then they got both grammy nominated as alternative rock for both white and pacific daydream but lost to boring hipster s***
it’s so weird to me that during their most popular charting days - from blue to green to make believe to red, while they were on the label geffen - they never once got grammy nominated albums
but yet as soon as they jump over the label crush and drop white and pacific daydream both these albums get grammy nominated
it’s almost like geffen never bothered to sent anything to the grammys lol good job on crush, it’s an amazing feeling that i can say my baby pd is grammy nominated

tbh i think its just a thing with geffen/dgc in general, i mean they had nirvana, beck, sonic youth and more on their label all in their primes and i dont recall any of them getting any grammy noms.
