I do still feel like Bird With a Broken Wing should have been the climax. It’s totally the Angel & The One of this record. The excellent transitions kinda make reworking the track list impossible sadly.
i think it’s good especially message wise that tea closes it all and changed the closing concept for once i hate to fall into the easy to predict sad ballad ending all the time
however with that being said the interlude track into mirror image to close it all >>>>>>
imo
Craziest take of all time
I also think Cats is a classic movie if that gives you an idea of the sort of person I am
I watched the full Fantano reaction to OK Human and he makes fun of RYM on it basically calling them snobs who underrated every Weezer album just because it’s Weezer.
yeah they’re full of s*** i been saying it day one and he gets a respect point from me for saying this out loud
f*** rym mf only listening to noise and jazz, so full of s***

That could have worked too. I just don’t think they’ve done the dramatic sad ballad as an ending in a while tbh.
like I lowkey got more enjoyment out Raditude than Maladroit even though Maladroit is a better album
burdnt jamb tho >>>>
love to see it
But to answer the question, off the top, definitely Swans although totally different styles obviously
tru
It definitely did, some of the songs rocked kinda hard to be orchestral.
THATS THE SPIRIT
ain’t no time for artsy boring obvious take on that concept

They’re actually way more unsophisticated then they think are. They fail to actually contextualize different kinds of music and sort of evaluate artists based on their perception. I still think that Mistki a***ysis of Pacific Daydream was one of the smartest things I’ve read about their work in a long time. RYM could never.
No doubt, there were a few times where I didn’t even realize the song had changed bc the transitions were so smooth
AOTY

This movie? ^

woah your weezer ranking gonna be wild
yeah that was a good one
🕺🕺
@Jerry_Seinfeld gonna love maladroit tho on the other hand i think
also slave !!!!
this acoustic version >>>

fun fact slave bridge is prolly my fav weezer section ever despite how short it is
I think of art in terms of pure enjoyment as well as how profound it is. I find sometimes "awful" art is profound in a different way. For example it really makes me consider the mindset that was behind it. It makes me ask questions. It makes me think
Worst thing to be is always boring.

I think Red is the next one I'll listen to
there’s big red army itt
was my first weezer album and then i stanned
very creative
all structures of weezer and its formula broke down - no more guitar solos or songs about girls and he brings the other band members to write their songs and sing lead vocals on them - everyone the bassists, the guitarist, the drummer
make sure to listen to the deluxe tho 👌👌👌🥵🥵
glad to have u back itt missed you and love you bro it makes me feel better
thank you too @Jerry_Seinfeld

imagine not listening to noise music tho >>
there’s some good stuff
im talking down on the condescending pov that comes with it
for how much great ok human is the oldheads already decided it was great anyway bc it’s orchestral and orchestral music can’t do no wrong while fun upbeat catchy rock is dumb stupid immature - you get the idea
