Not surprised no one’s said anything bad about it! EWBARITE is the album that popped into my mind, too, and I’d probably also put this above it. The instrumentation puts it over the top, the little flourishes of trumpet or whatever else here and there. It feels too short, honestly; I could have gone another song or two!

yeah you saw my post about it? he was a beast of a jazz drummer!fr and it’s mixed so tight and well it sounds so beautiful and like, old authentic and not cheesy glossy orchestra pop type
i think it’s best to have keep it short bc weezer has to keep things fun and not fall in something too serious or with the risk of being boring or sounding old, that’s the genuis of rivers - they had an ambition for this album and kept it weezery even tho everything about it is nothing weezer, it’s still short and sweet and hooks on hooks! much like a green album was in hindsight when you think about it
love the instrumental little piece reminds me of the intro of across the sea
