actually there is some fan project titled bedroom maladroit that was attempting to redo the album in a more acoustic style (altho it still had violins and whatnot so not just acoustic guitar alone) i havnt go back to it in years but it was good and smooth, rearranged and good quality musicianship all around - it was that s*** that originally made me realize how good american gigolo - he makes it more melodic and with the structures layed out you get a better pov imo

i think you would love it i don’t even recall if it ever was finished i know the fan had a reputation to take forever to just do a song but iirc there was half of it out, ima look it up

i thought about that when you mentioned happy chill didn’t seem the fit what the description acoustic we had

i think the acoustic is happy chill

rivers brought this up for a while now that the next album post vw and okh was gonna be acoustic - the references to island in the sun is to give a popular image of how it would be more, as in the verses of that song, laid down acoustic and not something like blue or pinkerton loud
