Klinghoffer is a great artist in his own right and definitely had some great moments within the band (the dark necessities solo) but pretty much no one in modern music is close to Frusciante's level of musicality and spirit. He's just insane.

Klinghoffer worked very closely with Frusciante during his 00s solo work so i can definitely see why he was the next best replacement but yah no one is touching John. Genuinely one of the most versatile artists ever and not the xxx type versatile like legit can switch sounds and emotion effortlessly (Niandra LaDes, To Record Only Water for Ten Days, PBX, Maya) and master them.

also love the work John did for The Brown Bunny, sadly pretty much all of it got cut from the final version of the film but it's some of his best

one of my all time favorites lol, i was hyper-obsessed with Gallo in like, late 2019 and i kinda still am. One of the weirdest people ever.
