I recall before doing this album she wanted to drop something more Ramones infused so maybe this is how they linked? I don’t know, surely they clicked on their love for Japan tho!
Anyway what I know is that Rivers said how she wanted a Beverly Hills type song and as you listen to this, it’s very easy to tell he gave her what she wanted, same beat, same guitar attack, Joan Jett style.
You can actually hear Rivers in the song as he’s the one doing the male harmonies you hear.
i believe the intro of the song is a sample of rivers demo of the song too

yeh it dawned on me while relistening now since ive listened to his new demos he’s selling (one samples kanye west is so cool you should check it out) the intro sounds too much like him, the guitar and vocals, has to be a snippet of his demo for the song
he does the “ooohoohos” in the song too
