ChickennuggetIt's weird... they never were breaking sales records or anything like that, and have never had a number one hit, but anybody who was old enough to be following music in the 90s knows who Weezer are. Then Beverly Hills established them again in the early 2000s. I think Weezer's one of those bands everyone's at least heard the name.

Very good point. I think because the instrumentals and melodies are so sugary my brain was shutting off the impact of the words. I think what connects all Weezer albums together is getting that glimpse into the mind of Rivers. Even when the sounds change, Rivers doesn't.

no matter what weezer does even if it doesn’t sound as serious as you want it or too goofy at least or at worst it’s funny and entertaining - never boring and dull s***, always somehow catchy
