Lol yeah, I meant more that that's elliot's attempt at doing that sort of sound. Didn't know weezer was planning on doing an elliott smith type record tho

He communicates daily with a few-hundred Weezer diehards, who form a sort of focus group; in 2022, he wants to release four seasonal albums, each with corresponding theme (“Happy, chill, stress-free for spring, lots of Elliott Smith-style loss and sadness for winter, and maybe fall could be dance-rock, like Franz Ferdinand”).
