Ohhh boooy, you in for a treat
Exactly, they rather move in forward motion within their sounds then stay in the same box people wanna put them in to get the same content they already got. I was talking about this last night with someone that Julian is pretty much way ahead of anyone in rock currently when it comes to being the future as he's the only one not stuck in the past. Rivers and Weezer, well, idek if you could classify their latest work as rock which within itself proves their want to create new ideas.
kinda not the main point but it's a point i've been thinking about for a while and this is a good time to share: i don't agree with others who say the very concept of rock in the mainstream is dead, the machine gun kelly and juice wrld projects prove there is still an interest in the sound within younger audiences, it's just that the people within rock refuse to move on leading the younger creatives to want to move into other genres like rap and electronic bc there's way more freedom within it then rock and its gatekeepers with it's biggest festivals all being legacy acts. Rock just needs the right artists/bands at the right time and with support of rock fans and then boom they could easily be mainstream stars. The Voidz honestly could've been this and even tho i do think they are pretty much the future of rock sound-wise Julian is way too old of a figure to be the representative of the future of rock, needs fresh faces to lead the way.
this where we know if we f***ing or if im friend zoning u
lot of pressure on this one
