Also yah i REALLY try not to look but today my eyes slipped and i guess god decided to not let me have to much fun and be reminded how many people are really dumb. Also agreed there's a lot of trash users on there as of late that really kills all discussion. It sucks.
The only reason they are probably comparing it to AJR is cause of that collab Rivers did if we're being honest

not really, im not sure you understand what the purpose of the site actually is then
its the best music database out there, the negative opinions of individual users dont really matter to me. its super valuable for dusty music especially, tons of knowledgeable old users on there who write essays about s***
its like youtube in a way because if you scroll to the comments, youll see endless garbage. but thats not really the use for it imo

i never used RYM much for discussion tbh i just use it more for a database and learning from the knowledgeable users and getting recs based on them
never went to the forums much but they seemed pretty bad from what i saw (not even super active either iirc)
