they hired the artist who does the decemberists artworks commissioned her for this art but geffen was like nah we gotta do something that reminds ppl who you are so they slapped a band photo on it like a color album and made it b&w
reminds me of the ok human artwork artist style kinda @idkICantPick

also I just remembered how bizarre the whole Death to False Metal release was
like it came out only I think 2 months after Hurley, and on top of that it dropped the exact same day as Pinkerton Deluxe?

idk if i've ever said this in here but i genuinely really hate how make believe's cover is set up to look like a color album and then its not
