    gym class was kinda cool

they attempted a comeback but it was so sad like they opened for a big fob tour they played new songs live there they updated their facebook with visual teases and dropped videos making new album with snippets of new music (sounded actually cool) and then one day they completely stopped giving any update on the album or band at all and absolutely disappeared from planet earth???? think travie relapsed 😞😞😞

them and n.e.r.d were really ahead of their time and kinda started the whole "no genre" thing that's been adopted by the younger generation but gym class kinda get overlooked for their contributions, probably bc unlike n.e.r.d had with Tyler they never had a figure for the younger gen who was really championing them as a huge inspo.

wild how this is only 1998 yet it sound so green formulated rivers didn’t lose anytime and really knows how to craft his s*** when he has an idea in mind and wants to turn s*** around

my alt red tracklist @vanity @BaroudeurFlipFlop very different album more serious

i believe half of it was meant as the original red tracklist by rivers anyway

he announced pig way back as the first single but the label geffen said it needed more upbeat songs so he did pork and beans and some others

pork and beans is a keeper and makes for even a greater opening but i played with the rest to make it more like his first vision

the order is made in so it flows together well imo - like how one ends and starts onto the other track

same it was my first oasis album (i always pick odds ones don’t i- oasis be here now and weezers red album, also started nirvana with bleach) and altho if i go back to it now it sounds ridiculously long but there’s crazy hooks and i just like that it sounds like that s*** was made on coke like production wise and song structure wise the album makes you cough from how much d**** is layered all over it like jesus f***ing hell but it’s also the album well noel really pushed liam to his limits vocally and really got the best out of his performance out of any oasis records, liam shines bright like the sun on it

  • Jan 18, 2021

in this video rivers personally picks an oasis video and mentions for a second their encounter with the band
