I’ve never made the connection, but do you feel like Maroon 5 is the trajectory Rivers always wanted to have? There’s a lot more parallels between the bands then I realized... only Weezer never lost their soul...even when they try.

Yeah Rivers is the master of writing pop. I remember hearing a long time ago he was gonna write a book about it, would love to read it
