following my celebration posts for white, songs from the black hole, green, pinkerton special acoustic, ewbaite, kitchen tape, blue + pinkerton and blue special acoustic here’s another celebration post for whats now referred as the SS2K songs, when weezer came back from pinkerton’s hiatus in 2000 and played live again they got back on stage with lotta new songs which led to naturally believe with the amount there was it would be the third album material but by the time the green album did come out only ONE SONG from the ss2k made the cut (the now iconic hash pipe) so lotta fans asked about it and rivers finally gave an “official” tracklist to make out of all the ss2k songs to make an album out of it, karl the webmaster posted the audios

here’s a deluxe take on it adding more of the new abandoned songs from that whole era

I’ve definitely seen you mention this project ITT before , I’m definitely curious abt this cus I like Hash Pipe in a specific way aside from other green album stuff I’ve listened to but I would love to do the listening session when is it?

I listened to a little of HARAM and I loved what I heard. I’ve seen good things abt the floating points album I definitely need to check that out too .. It’s definitely starting to pick up n I think this is gonna be an amazing spring/summer for releases tbh I’m excited

Treat Promises the way you would treat a late period Talk Talk album or modern classical. Find a dark quiet place and just listen carefully for all the modal shifts, motifs and dynamics. It's really special to hear Pharaoh Sanders soloing so beautifully at age 80

You absolutely should, that’s an artist people will definitely talk about if a thread like that is made. Esp bc a lot of people know big singles or 1/2 albums from him, people would love to be able to talk abt deepcuts and show their knowledge n favorites n all
