yeah smashing never stop but they had a “reunion” (all og members came back except the bassist girl) i still got to hear the last thing they dropped but the ep i heard before of that lineup is pretty rehash safe stuff

and uhh pixies yeah they hesitated for ever to actually come back studio wise - they originally came back way back in like 2001 but only like live shows and kept on going until like 2014 they finally went into the studio and kim the iconic bassist and female back vocalist dropped bc of fear of ruining the legacy (rumors is that one of franks solo album from 2007 was meant as pixies comeback but kim turned it down, you can hear some very pixies style songs on it)

(also no one will ever believe this but i had actually the exclusive confirmation they were in the studio before it was official, i do got some dm proof and the exclusive photo that frank sent me that confirmed me but it’s in an old fb account i gotta dig back)

so they replaced her and dropped like 4 albums since

there’s some cool songs to take from it but it’s all super average albums and some has some bad songs which is a first in pixies lore, before that in their 90s run it was no misses
