Blue album:

Only 4 pressings worth having:

1) original UK or Japan pressing - super expensive. nothing particularly special except that it’s original. worth noting there was never a US pressing when it came out. for its price, i can’t really justify it

2) 2002 repress. it’s kinda expensive at around 55 bucks. nothing special but that it’s great sounding. just black vinyl

3) recent 2020 pressing: its not the best sounding, but not worse. it comes in marbled blue which i think looks great:

All things considered, its only 20 bucks, so its just a good buy all around.

4) the full body cover. this goes around 125-150 bucks for decent condition. its so old (94), so its hard to find a copy thats good quality without scratches on vinyl or creases in the sleeve

For pinkerton:

I already own it. Its the vinyl me please club pressing. Now it goes for about $65. The vinyl is great and the coloring is beautiful. Its not as dark as it looks in the picture (not my pic) but its close (blue coloring is just a touch lighter) :

Green:

Green is pretty easy. the og 2001 pressing. only because it's the only one that has the original version of hashpipe. all pressings afterwards have the alternate edit which id rather not have. the vinyl came in black and also green vinyl. basically you're looking around spending 75 bucks at least.

i always wanted all the weezer albums i care about on vinyl, but there's so many pressings that it's hard to figure out which one i should get

i had asked earlier in this thread, but no one replied so i'm just figuring it out on my own for my (and anyone else's reading) benefit

Even easier. Only pressed at released, and then once more in 2016

the 2016 one was done lazily, so just get the og pressing. its only around 30 bucks

Red:

have to get the self-released repress from 2009. this is the deluxe version too. it doesn't come in red translucent vinyl, but rather in black. all that said: they specifically redid this one because people complained so much about the original pressing so it's gonna sound the best. cost is around 65 smh

Rivers Cuomo Alone 1:
only pressed once. it goes for about 90 bucks

The Lion and the Witch:
only would get this one for the iconic cover

but it goes for about 75 bucks now. it had a run of only 3000 copies

White album:

So when this album came out, weezer was more or less dead to me. by CHANCE i came across 'do you wanna get high', and i couldn't deny it was great. I STILL had my reservations when the album came out, and just didn't feel like listening and being disappointed again. because of that, i missed my chance to get the tri-color

it's a weird color pressing for something widely known as the white album, but it just hit me that they picked these colors cause theyre the colors of their self titles up to that point (oh wait...what about red though??)

this was only available to the first 400 that purchased. for me personally, it's really the only appealing aspect of it in that its so limited. you can't even really find anyone selling it right now, but last time it was sold was in june for 90 bucks.

the one i personally have is the white vinyl

i think it was just for the first 4000 after the 400 tricolor sold out.

while ten times more copies were made, i think this was is in just as much demand because so few copies are even being sold right now, and it also goes at minimum 90 bucks. overall, it's an easy pick because while completely expected, it fits with the rest of the packaging
