one of my fav slide guitar piece

it’s one element i want to push in my project of mixing surf and gothic

such a great song and that slide sound is timeless, it’s a shame people don’t use it more outside of mac demarco style music. you really could do so much with the surf/rockabilly sound and blending it with that gothic style. i love psychobilly and think it’s such an interesting and creative concept but it’s begging for someone or something new and fresh to come along. the best stuff like the cramps and dirty beaches have only gone so far u know. I have always really particularly loved this though and it’s the best psychobilly song in a really long time

i haven't been in here at all today BUT I come with this........ interesting find lol
2002 compilation "A Punk Tribute to Weezer" released by Cleopatra Records

the most notable track on this comp is an appearance by f***ing Flipper of all bands with them covering Hash Pipe which in all fairness is by far one of the most unique weezer covers I've ever heard those it's definitely not for everyone lol

another highlight is a cover of Photograph by The Vibrators

The rest of the project isn't very notable to me personally but it's definetly an interesting time capsule of it's time and interesting to hear, here's a playlist of the whole thing
