It’s because fans of conscious rappers don’t really care about numbers like that (ex. Lupe, talib fans) Pop stans religiously follow billboard numbers even though some artists release music for reasons other than sales.

So all you're really saying is the music ain't for you personally. But a flop is an objective discussion about how the music is resonating on a wide scale for major label artists.
They will never grasp this. They will continue to act like Kendrick is some underground rapper who only drops music on the dark web so discussing his numbers doesn't make sense because they're not a reflection of how much people are actually f***ing with his music.
