Since when is section 80 not the debut 🤔
TPAB has too many cringe try hard moments. Its a classic but GKMC has none of that and is literally in the top 10 hip hop albums of all time
no need to compare two bad b****es
but nah tpab got it
mortal man aint replayable due to the massive outto
me doing all of Kendrick’s part so it’s like I’m talking to Pac
Not even remotely close
GKMC is a classic debut and album in general
But TPAB is one of the greatest albums of all time across all genres
As f***
About to kill everybody itt starting with you
when @Mitchell he say he bout to kill someone I believe him 110%
F*** no
mortal man aint replayable due to the massive outto

it's his first "major label" album.
back in the mixtape/independent label days people would make it seem as though even if someone already had a debut album, the "major label" debut album added more hype cause to the average consumer it made it seem like there was more financial backing put into it meaning more potentially good music would come of it (too bad that aint work out so well for Wale, K.R.I.T, or Cole tho)
Momma one of the best rap songs to ever be made.
That alone makes TPAB better than GKMC.
As a weirdo black jazz nigga that was going through a lot of personal s*** that year, that album actually meant something.
And I got some core memories with pretty much every Kendrick album that's dropped (hell, DAMN in a way led to one of my consistently highest paying gigs) but that 1st time listening to Momma I'd pay millions to relive epecially as a long time Knxwledge fan.
also there's some early kendrick-isms on GKMC that in hindsight aged a lot. He loved to make that one gun sound all. the. time. lol.
