cantonese ppl in southern china do like plain rice w pork and s*** like cured egg yolk n peanuts
but in shanghai we mix the rice w soy sauce and marinaded pork belly
visually resemble Fat tamales
dey came out rly well hehe

Just checked their menu - small but really well priced
It's cool that the main front is a coffee shop because coffee is a big part of Eritrean and Ethiopian culture
If you go you should order everything David did (the fact that he had to talk to these gentrifiers with that avocado toast bit
)
Also I don't think it is but I'm biased but I hope you f*** with spicy food, there's way spicier stuff out there but I'm not sure what you f*** with in that regard
I don't think our cuisine lends to restraunt takeout that well so I'd try to come hungry as hell and finish there
Go with some of your people too if you can, you can/will get your own plate but everything from the food to the culture overall invites socializing/community
