I used to do it all the time w sausage McMuffin and grape jelly. You don’t need to smother it in jelly/jam. Just a lil spread on one side/piece of English muffin not enough to overpower the sandwich

Also jam + cheese is a goat combo think cream cheese w strawberry jam bagels or cheese plates that come w fruit

(Koreans tend to like their food on the sweeter side tho so maybe it’s just my genetics)

If you skeptical about the jam and meat/sausage combo it’s a spot in the bay that does a burger w seasonal jams. And you got s*** like chicken and waffles. It’s just savory and sweet. All about balance tho my g

bf n i went n got sandos frm an italian joint
mine was tuna w arugula, artichoke hearts, dressing, and mozz i added on
his was mackerel w sun dried tomato and this cream cheese-ish cheese spread

n then went out for sushi for dinn

kanpachi (greater amberjack), toro (fatty tuna)
tuna

bowl had uni rice topped w snow crab but i ate it n forgot pic oop
hokkaido uni (sea urchin), shiro ebi (baby shrimp) w caviar,
hotate (scallop), botan ebi (botan shrimp)
there was also ikura (salmon roe) but we ate it alredi

bincho albacore topped w chinese chili oil sauce, bowl is toro w ankimo (monkfish liver)
unagi w avocado, kinmedai (golden eye snapper) i think
shima aji (striped jack) i think, wagyu beef w uni

Egg and jam combo is very good

I have not had it with cheese as well but a basic omelette goes amazing with something sweet. Whether that’s jam or honey or literally just a little sprinkle of sugar.

My personal fav is a bit of date syrup on the egg.

Btw I worked at a pizza place and they do put sauce in it but not a ton bc it’s tough to close up if there’s too much sauce s/o future so they give you extra sauce on the side

I worked at a pizza place that made real calzones you don't put sauce in a calzones you made folded pizza
