All a few MFs said was that they didn't like taking pictures of their food when they were eating with others
Not that they took issue with anyone else doing it
Where my food p*** at?

afghancooks.com/afghan-chicken-kabob

i eyeballed all the measurements tho and taste tested it before i added the chicken in to make sure itd hit

made panzanella w this dry ass stale ass bread i had

soboro don
justonecookbook.com/tori-soboro-donburi

angel hair pasta
i made a sauce by frying some super thin garlic slices in a good coverage of evoo, removing the garlic, then dumping 2 containers of cherry tomatoes into the oil on high heat so they get all caramelized and blistered, once the tomatoes all got jammy and released their liquids i blitzed it, added some salt, parmesan, nutritional yeast, and 1.5 ladles of pasta water
then i dumped the pasta in mixed it, and added some mozzarella i tore into tiny bits, topped with the garlic
then
nazli bakery
cakes were dry as s*** holy f***
flavors were good but they were giving vegan and gluten free if u kno what i mean
banana bread was rly cardamomy (but dry)
other cake had a balsamic swiss merengue buttercream frosting, topped and filled w strawberries (very very dry)

peeped seoul salon for the drinks
i got the kimchi one
i liked it a lot i like milky and weird cocktails so this fit the vibe. was not as crazy as i expected
cho dang gol
got the veggie rice, mushroom rice, a tofu stew, bulgogi, and the buckwheat pancake
wish we got a regular non buckwheat pancake tbh but it was cool
everything esle was fire
also got the homemade makgeolli which hit
nargis cafe for uzbek food
beef panfried chuchvara
ngl these might be some of the best dumplings ive had in ny lol
they were so juicy and flavorful and perfectly hot and panfried, super fresh
i think the momos up at phayul are good and the xlb at the bao are good too but these rly took me by surprise
uzbek bread was rly hot and fresh too, came w roasted garlic oil

got dinner at el jarochito -- they got a counter in the back with hot food
they do goat barbacoa on weekends so i got that in a cemita

win son bakery
corn bread
pretty fun, not that corn-y tho

pastrami beef tongue scallion pancake on left, bec scalllion pancake on right
to keep it a buck
pancake was not at all scalliony, not at all flaky
beef tongue one was nice, but the bec was rly salty.
i had to add a good amt of hoisin sauce and julienned scallions to both for them to hit
they giv u a mayo sauce but its just way too oily all together
lowkey wish i just got 2 of the rice rolls they have instead lol those r always p good they make em to order or something bc the donuts always crispy
@gudgud_goods popup at hana makgeolli

blood sausage itself was cool, was filled w sweet potato noodles
i liked this one the best, it was flavorful and had lots of cool texture
i just wish the blood sausage was charred a bit or something they clda used a bit more color
pork belly bun cha
i think it was ok, nothing spectacular..... it cld use some scallion oil or some pickled daikon/carrots or something u know
just pork, some fried shallots, and random greens isnt cutting it enough felt like some fast casual bowl sitch
coconut panang curry w pork katsu
they dont give u rice for this which us crazy LOL

corn butter mochi
i liked this the best
