My electronic music starts heavy with House and has a lot of Funk and HipHop influence in it with some slight RnB n Psych Rock. I'm hoping it does expand to more people, especially Rap crowds.

I don't want it to sound like anyone else but I want it to still sound/feel familiar

Prince and Rick James were the main inspo and brain storm for the song. The drums are from the same drum machine Prince would use a lot at his peak, for example. The LM-Drumm but I used a modern clone of it Behringer company. Then I added modern day effects and my sig own crafted mixing style

I like to call my overall main Electronic sound "Wave Funk"

reminds me of talking heads a bit

The drums were inspired by Prince's Purple Rain album and the sound design was inspired by Rick James's Glow album

No samples or pre-made loops used (nor AI), all original work and mixed/mastered by me as well

I used a physical drum machine, a mix of a physical synth and few bars & FL Studio

As I've said before, I worked at a local studio before for some years n been paid for beats, co-production/instrumentation, sample/loop creation and mixing/mastering - but this is the first time I'm doing a full project for myself

The goal of the album overall and most of the songs is FUN that STILL means something and is STILL INTERESTING/SKILLFUL/IN-DEPTH - and I think Feel What's Real accomplishes that concept 100%

That's funny, that's kinda what I did for my 1st single as an animation music video, a girl robot that dance around with the concept of identity crisis and losing yourself or not knowing yourself anymore

There's a lot of ideas I have for vids but that's the one thing I don't have a line for rn. Me n my people are working onna Distribution deal with people n gonna use the full release of the project to ship around with and hopefully then I can do more stuff with visuals and music videos outside of cover art and animations 🙏🤞

• I meant to say "shift" instead of "shit" (I stick to my lane / as I SHIFT - get it?? like driving a car shifting in lanes WOW! 🤫🤠🤠) but accidentally said s*** during the recording. it's the cuss word i say the most in real life, but i thot it sounded good with the chaotic and "sassy" nature of the song that my people and I thot it'd be good to keep in

• this is the only cuss words on any of my songs, singles and full album, i don't even say nigga 😱😱

• i didnt realize i didnt say any explicit words until one of my friends brought it up during one of the first early demo copies of the album late last year i sent out to a few people to gauge feelings, thoughts n critiques - a homegirl of mine, Feel What's Real wasn't made yet
