Another round of fun facts about a song of mine ☝️🤓

• I had the melody for the main two parts of the song, the come on over parts, for like two months before the song's final instrumental came into fruition - for some reason I couldn't think of lyrics to fill in that "rolling/tumbling" melody and flow to save my life for the longest

• the beat and engineering for it is one of the funnest sessions of the entire project for - the drum pattern is also my favorite which was made on the same LM-1 drum machine (that was used by many artists of the 80s n 90s n made famous by Prince) hardware clone by Behringer that I also used on Feel What's Real for its drums

• I wanted a song for women that take videos of themselves in their mirror late night & a dream-like intoxicated feeling, that was the initial concept and sticking point that stayed in the back of the "mind's eye", which ended up in the final version of Come On Over

• the "world premiere" DJ tag is also my own voice that I recorded off of a USB rock band mic (that I have also used for some other specific things for the album) at home that was done at the last minute before it was turned on for release lmao, just heavily edited, I wanted it to sound like a live announcement on a dance floor or DJ set and I think I accomplished it with help of the mic quality and its unique quirks plus my mixing that give a secret sauce to a lot of parts of my songs

• the bassline and main synth are custom made by my sound design - the bassline I started with a preset while the synth was from scratch - in FL Studio with my plugins, there are many effects that shape it to their final sounds - the synth is then layered with an already made vst violin strings preset that I slightly edited

• again, there are no samples, pre-made loops nor AI used in this song nor the other singles and album songs - it's all self made, self played and custom by myself from the lyrics to the vocals to the instrumentals and the mixing/mastering - all done in FL Studio 21

That's all the fun facts for the album's singles, I will probably do more overtime for the rest of the tracks on the full album after release in October

Lmaooo I wanted it to have dreamy-like intoxicated atmosphere and vibe that feels late night and "lost in the moment" so I'm glad it def feels n sounds like that

I'm tellin u come October, I'm killin these niggas b - no one will have the production and engineering game on lock like I

And this is just a stepping stone 4 so much more, it's basically gonna be my portfolio and showcase for more doors and to make myself more visible n taken serious

🚨 🚨 Now I can say since all singles are finally out:

All the songs in the Preview Comp from way back in May when I started this thread (then June for the first single and every sequential month till now) were the 7 songs chosen to be one of the monthly 4 singles that lead up to the album release - u can also hear early versions and early mixes of the final songs of the singles (and the other 3 soon in October) in the preview comp in the op.

In the end I went with Identity Theft Me, Feel What's Real, A New Light & Come On Over. Leaving out I'm A Dog, No More Traffic and Wash My Hands.

But early song versions and song selection isn't the only thing of the process, also coverart!

• The final versions you can see above in the links, but these are the early versions of Come On Over and A New Light from way months back. COO being a different variation, while ANL being completely different:

• What about the 3 songs from the album preview comp that didn't end up as the released singles? Well they been had their coverarts done too in advance. No More Traffic's is especially one of my favs - I would love to make is a shirt or a poster for myself or sumn at some point:

The art will make more sense when they're heard in their final versions on the album - I usually only do one mega fun fact post once a month but take this post as a bonus fun fact of for this month since the album is next month and will be coming to an eventual close☝️🤓

• And here's the Front and Back coverarts + Tracklist together of the album for October 16th that give a bit more context of the singles placements for The Future is Forever (TFIF) - also yeah, the 3 word titles were intentional and way to make the tracklist thematic but doing sumn different that isn't just all caps or lower case words or whatever idk lmao:

• These are all the cover artworks I made (I also made all videos myself too). There is also the animated version of the front album coverart in the op. All of my children 🤧🐥🐣

Shout out to the boys @Aquilla @Jbreezyondeck and @mos_def who encouraged me a lot and saw a lot of my in progress works during the middle level of the album's creation in my lowkey og behind the scenes thread while I was going back in forth between California and Arizona creating this and connecting with other music related people irl while dealing with family emergencies n personal health issues
