Young DDrakes fall off lyrically and artistically began at 28 (other than Honestly, Nevermind)
Kaynyes fall off lyrically began at 36 (Yeezus was amazing sonically, but lyrically was a huge drop off) and artistically was at 38 (TLOP and on had moments of greatness but also moments of obvious dog s*** and this grew more and more prominent as the years went on)
You can’t compare ages with these two, you gotta compare points in their careers.
Drake at 28 was six years into his career
Kanye at 36 was ten years into his career
Six years vs. ten years makes a lot more sense than 38 and 28

Imo I think the only crazy miss from Ovo was majid not being bigger. They are in an amazing spot in terms of success. They can shut down a festival and go on huge tours but man I think that second album had like 3 top 10 billboard hits on it
Bro Wildest Dreams had HIT RECORDS on it, I fully believe they’d be one of the most popular acts in music if they never signed with OVO. But they seem like chill guys and they probably prefer being out of the limelight

Also, indie labels are usually just restrained by budget. OVO doesn’t have that problem.
And let’s not forget that one of the biggest albums of all-time was released on an indie label
