To some degree I get both sides of the Yeezus argument: yes, it was a low point at the time for Kanye in a cultural sense. Yes, it’s also one of the most important contributions Kanye ever made to music, particularly alternative music. A lot of classics would not exist if not for Yeezus.

Looking back, it was an awesome era and it’s brought a lot of good to the world, but there was a lot of hate and criticism those first few months after it dropped. That’s what it’s like being a fan of a really innovative mainstream artist though and I miss when it happened more often.

Man idk lol like it in hindsight yes but you could not play much of TLOP for the hoes lmfao I remember that s*** distinctively. ANTI got more universal love than TLOP. S*** even Views did somehow

It’s Kanye West I think he was well past making music “for the hoes” by 2016

Niggas don’t even realize if a girl fw you genuinely then she’ll be open to whatever music you play around her. This idea that women only like certain music catered for them is so damn misogynistic

Genuinely worrying about what anyone thinks of your music taste, of all things, reeks of insecurity.

You always find something to discredit what I be saying. Point blank, TLOP wasn’t universally loved the same way Graduation was. That’s not crazy to say lol
