According to his Wikipedia, the last time he was on a set filming something was 4 years ago. If anyone remembers he was initially the lead of Rebel Ridge before he dropped out in the middle of filming.

No he's working on a new Attack The Block and is doing an anime film with Willow Smith also you're wrong @op he was on set was The Woman King infact it seems like he dropped Rebel Ridge to do it cause he claimed family issues but then filmed Woman King the same year

He announced the sequel in 2021. There’s been no movement on it since. Also, he shot Woman King in 2022. Well after he dropped out of Rebel Ridge in the middle of production in the summer of 2021.
was just thinking this about a few actors. daniel kaluuya hasn't been on screen in 4 years. nope was filmed in 2021 so thats 5 years basically of him not being cast in anything and unless he's been attached to stuff thats filmed already, he wont be in anything in 2026 either.
yahya abdul mateen hasn't been on screen since 2023 so thats about to 3 years. he's got two things next year (including the fincher OATIH sequel) but still, he's really taking his time with projects and is barely working.
and yeah boyega i noticed this too
im sure theres personal and professional reasons for all this but these are some really exciting guys and i wish they were working more

Rebel Ridge started filming that May and then whatever happened there happened and he left it in June.
He was doing Woman King that November in 2021 it got delayed because of COVID variant and they didnt start until 2022 but they were all in Africa to film for months just locked down.
But he essentially had two bad filming situations for various different reasons that delayed his career a bit prolly no black balling on the surface atleast just got unlucky.
He was going to war with them star wars stans.
He hated being in that role, didn't help that those films were mostly mid

What's the definition of "black stories"?
Feels too broad.
Add Trevante Rhodes. I thought he was gonna be a star after Moonlight
I thought he was incredible as Mike Tyson

stories where black characters/themes are at the heart/the main parts of the story no ksi sideman tings

Would Rebel Ridge or G20 be considered black stories?
