Fans who hadn't come to this conclusion about him earlier and/or fans blindly trusting him while trying to ignore all the scamming have had this kind of realization building and building for 5 years.

I think that narrative is a stretch, but I definitely do not think it's a stretch to theorize he may have done singles/merch in 2019 as a way to help fund this.
You can have an idea in 2018, go over budget, and accomodate.
I mean the singles & merch were literally november / december of 2019, then the pandemic hit so that plays a role. The whole merch money fund makes no sense cause he was throwing parties in NYC without any fee when he could’ve damn well priced it at $100 and gotten bare money

You're totally right, but it's also about PR. Frank's mystique is half of his brand. It's more on brand of him to release expensive merchandise and random singles to stir awareness/continued hype in him than it would be to have an advertised or ticketed performance.

This. If your label is screwing people over repeatedly with your name attached and you do absolutely nothing to address it or fix it, I'm not sure doing something in the same vein, alienating all of your fans, and dealing with 10 times or a hundred times the amount of money is your next move

damn my s*** took long but customer service replied quick whenever I asked for updates, seems like people had very different experiences. People should chargeback and move on tbh.
