Yeah too much at once can cause them to have an anxiety-like issue with they lil hearts which can be dangerous, and also too many different germs at once can make them sick and u cant just wash them over and over in a short timespan or else it will also get them sick

I went with my brother to one before and we got to pet a big monitor lizard and then they walked it around the shop like a dog

Also talk to the ppl in the shop beforehand and show them ur genuinely interested and personable, that also makes them (and me as a trainer raiser with other animals) more comfortable with the person because u don't want some weirdo jackass that's gonna hurt the animal or someone that's gonna freak out etc.
