Oh yeah foam midsole sneakers like your average Jordan (not 1s), air max got like 15 years usually on them before they cease to exist in front of your eyes

Yea I’ve seen pics of the crumbled Jordans lol

I get why it’s not really a pressing enough problem to invest time into solving tho

People treat them like investments but then they become impossible to wear and probably much harder to sell based on that
