Mar 16, 2024Kudder52What’s bullshit about it? Kanye is clearly a lost man now. I’ve just recently rewatched his concert with Drake and God how beautiful it was he was true man of faith. It was so uplifting even though he had already been struggling with his family issues.
Fearing of God doesn’t mean you go to tremble with fear, being afraid of taking actions. It’s some sick understanding of faith and Ye seems like it all that he used to stand for was superficial af. He’s on some hippie s*** now if he thinks no matter what he does no matter what example he would set for his kids for teens for other people he can justify it with LOVE and it’s coming from almost 20-year long Kanye fan.
I understand what he went through how he dispirited he might be but I simply can’t understand such drastic shift.
From Donda to some p***o-driven music? Man this ain’t it.Agreed. My problem with Vultures is it cheapens all the 'spiritual' music from Jesus is King thru Donda. It feels like a superficial product he pushed to clean up his image ahead of a potential custody battle after he left LA/Kim for Wyoming. Or maybe he switched to the gospel category to avoid directly competing with Drake.
After hearing how close he was to "broke" in the Big Boy interview, it's clear Vultures exists to pump out secular hits. I loved Yeezus, which was obviously secular but the difference is he wasn't pandering for hits. At that time, he didn't need the charts. Since so many have abandoned him, he needs the crowd more than ever now.
Carnival's success says more about our society than Ye IMO.
