Kanye easily has the greatest discography in hip-hop history

    Yup
Don’t even entertain ppl when they try to argue this w me anymore

It’s not a debate I’m simply stating an easily observable fact

Wayne is the only one comes as close but what he has accomplished and Kanye are two separate beasts and ways

Wayne was really pivotal to shaping what ultimately became streaming today
With straight to consumer releases at a super high clip

It’s a shame he doesn’t get credit for that because on its face he doesn’t have as many “classic” releases especially later in his career like post no ceilings era he’s been kinda lukewarm to me
But he’s has an undeniable impact on hip hop and just music consumption in general

As an artist I don't think so either but as a rapper he has tons of songs he could go on and on and on

Wayne’s discography is nowhere near Ye’s man

The closest to Ye is probably OutKast or Kendrick

  • Aug 23, 2024

They fr are running his discog in EXACT chronological order

crazy how ye has become a legacy act since the 2020s have started

it feels like you can't discuss his new music cause everyone automatically starts comparing to his 2010s dominance

That’s a drawback of being the absolute best artist on the planet for a decade+

lmao they already started comparing his albums when TLOP dropped

Now that Vultures 2 is a certified classic and is in the discussion with albums like Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, The Dark Side of the Moon, Pet Sounds, Nevermind, Revolver, What’s Going On, Exile on Main St., Thriller, Rumours, OK Computer, Highway 61 Revisited, London Calling, Led Zeppelin IV, Purple Rain, The Velvet Underground & Nico, Born to Run, Abbey Road, Blue, Are You Experienced, To Pimp a Butterfly, The Joshua Tree, Blood on the Tracks, The Wall, Innervisions, Rumours, A Love Supreme, The White Album, Kind of Blue, Back in Black, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, Thriller, Illmatic, Songs in the Key of Life, The Chronic, Led Zeppelin II, Electric Ladyland, Off the Wall, Born in the U.S.A. and Blonde, is it possible for Kanye to top that with Vultures 3?

lowkey don't agree with this. when TLOP came out everyone was at first discussing the music, especially with the amount of hits he had on it and the discourse of songs like no more parties in la, fsmhp1, wolves, famous, etc.

nowadays as soon as he released anything it immediately reminds everyone to talk about his past accomplishments when it comes to the music.

saying this as a HUGE ye fan
