If I recall correctly, last.fm only scrobbles songs you have downloaded. It’s not ideal but AM also has a feature where it’ll automatically download stuff when you add it to your library/fav it/ add it to a playlist.
But being able to put an mp3 from your desktop and have it in your streaming library within seconds, never needing to use any cords, is just so nice, it makes any other shortcomings worth it imo.
