Is and will always be the best TLOP tracklist. And it's a shame the release version catered to yes men and last second impulse by b******izing the sequencing and adding Feedback/Freestyle 4/Facts/I Love Kanye to it.
The most egregious thing is he never fixed wolves. That verse at the end ain’t it for me still
Is the transition in Dead right before Kanye’s last verse starts at 3:00 supposed sound like a skip?
Don't get me wrong, I agree with most of what you say here, but tbf Saint Pablo wasn't added to TLOP for a full 4 months - until then, the album seemed to just randomly end on Fade, and the general consensus in fan circles was basically that everything after Frank's Track was basically bonus tracks.
I still consider them just that tbh cause he even says it at the end of 30 Hours
I feel like I’m one of the few who really fw’s both albums (I slighlty prefer V2) genuinely the only songs I don’t bump all the time are Hoodrat, problematic, beg forgiveness and husband and I really feel like keys to my life don’t get the credit it deserves. My hot take would be I prefer both these albums over JIK and Ye
Vultures 1 is better than Ye & JIK
and Vultures 2 is just better than JIK imo

I Love Kanye is super iconic. Lowlights could easily go before that

Just curious...I get the last second impulses being a major factor but how did yes men factor in to the tracklist?

I actually really like ye. I put it above vultures and jik
And both vultures above jik
Jik is the album that broke me lol. Had a mental breakdown in the album release thread after it dropped

Bro repeated the most cringe line and thought “this is it”

Album would probably be he his best one if it was chopped down to 12-14 songs

We could have it so good. Unfortunately, streaming number expectations have cooked my GOAT's perception of a quality album.

lmao you got a link to the post? I don’t blame you honestly. Wish he vaulted that s***

The top of mind example is Feedback finding its way back into the fold and Travis thanking him for adding it back. And a retroactive justification is that they updated Feedback to the original arrangement after we threatened to remake it on KTT1 which is quite the coincidence given how active some of their camp was on KTT back then.
I think this is one of a few tracks that muddies the sequencing of the release version of the album.
It feels weird to know people like Rhymefest pointing out that some people are there just to be famous in those writing sessions, yatta yatta.
DONDA if it was chopped down to 12 songs
Jail

Off The Grid
Hurricane

Moon

Interesting. I think Feedback fits the warped gospel theme given the heard about the good news lyric.
The last June update of the album from when it was still being updated had the newer arrangement of Feedback, no? The February first release of the album had a more abrasive version, then in March it switched to where the more abrasive beat drops later in the song and stayed that way. I recall people wanting the February version back. Which version is on streaming now? I only listen off of my June 2016 update download.
Edit just checked and it's the less abrasive version on Apple.

Any version of DONDA without OK OK & JONAH is a good album.

imo ULB as the last track is anticlimactic and i think does work better as an opener. the rest of the tracklist tho is spot on and if this was the released version, it would be an undisputed classic
Why couldn’t Kanye and playboi carti decide to make collabs instead . Oh wait it never would have released

keep that
their collabs super underwhelming
lots of other people i'd rahter em work with

Hahah it was all through the thread not even 1 single post
I remember basically saying how he was washed and the old ye would never release something with the mixes so unfinished and off, and sloppy delivered lyrics
I’ve since reduced my hate of the album a lot, and eventually found some enjoyment out of it. but it’s still at the bottom of my list lol
