Not only that, if he actually fleshed out the tracks as well.

the tracks def needed work, but even if he released the above track-list + songs were in the condition they were when they leaked, and we never heard them before, we'd probably be very happy rn

leaks usually add hype, but this time around, the leaks completely killed the Vultures era

Dude I totally agree, it's so awkward next to the rest of the Vultures era songs

Remember when Ye announced that he would add Hurricane to Donda, and the released version had a different instrumental/verse?

People didn't like the change at first, but in retrospect it was a great decision because it fit the vibe of the album.

Now he does the opposite, keeps the song as is, and it sounds like s***. It's almost like Ye is doing exactly what people ask for to prove a point; artist intuition > appeasing the fans

Or he's really gotten that lazy in recent years idk

I just don’t understand why not save it for a solo album? It’s a solo song about his divorce on a collab album and it sticks out like a sore thumb I’ve never seen him try to appease people so hard

I wonder if he'd be so quick to cater to the fans if Carnival never went viral, and V1 flopped

The Led Zeppelin sample did a lot of the heavy lifting on that one

Did they switch up those drums, and why?

Ok. Haven't listened to the new mix yet.
It just always felt very loud to me. Or is it just me?

    Like Problematic on V1

No your right it was loud af you couldn’t hear a word on kodaks verse. But now they’ve just went polo opposite and made the vocals super loud and neutered the beat

    1. Slide
    2. Stars
    3. Keys to my life
    4. Time moving slow
    5. Paid
    6. Back to me
    7. Carnival
    8. Fried
    9. Field Trip
    10. Fuk Sumn
    11. Paperwork
    12. Burn
    13. Take off your dress
    14. King
    15. 5:30
    16. River
    17. Sky City
    18. Good (don’t die)
    BONUS
    19. Gun to my head

I love both albums but imagine this was just dropped as one cohesive album

Switch Fried or 530 out for Lifestyle and I agree with this.

Carnival going #1 was honestly a bad thing long term cause he’s just hit chasing I’m still baffled can u be got a release but atleast he did change it to fit the album more

Lifestyle over 5:30 is fine by me I fw it but don’t think it fits the album at all

I think you put Lifestyle after Take Off Your Dress and it works imo

I think it'd be fine if they just let Ty do some crazy vocals on the beat switch, or maybe go back and forth or something

I feel like he's trying too hard to fit into today's era opposed to just being himself.

If he raps like he did when he was in his prime, this s*** would be classic.

Ty's been carrying & I'm not even a fan of his.

adding 530, Sky City, Can U Be, and My Soul destroyed any integrity the Vultures series had as an artistic statement. now it just comes off as a washed racist boomer making meme music. very cringe

I think it was more so that Time Moving Slow was too quiet.

    S***, that makes sense.

Just shows how ive given zero fks about all these release shenanigans

Just give us the finished produkk

Only complaints about the mix are the Portishead sample being neutered on Kodak verse and Dead being super bass boosted

BURN and the BACK TO ME instrumental were the closest things we got to Ye being himself and both were half-assed

Burn is cool but it's fleeting. Ye used to be able to s*** out tracks like that in his sleep and the middle section of BACK TO ME is so schizophrenic it's hard to enjoy without a heavy does of irony

Like bro, he decided to do dumb s*** on a track with Freddie F***ing Gibbs...

You think "Rosewood" or "LR" era Ye would let something like that slide?

Ye allowing that to happen on his own track is the most low-test thing I've ever witnessed in hip-hop

    Kanye must be a cuck

Drake got the same fetish (ie. first person shooter)

While I understand that it appears that Ye has become lazy in some regards, I also fully believe that part of what he's doing on Back To Me and with 530 mumble and Sky City AI is purposeful. I'm not saying I agree with it, but I think there's meaning and intention there in f***ing with fans and formula.
